Punkey Brewster was a 1980's American situation comedy that centered on a warm, funny and bright young girl named Penelope "Punky" Brewster (Soleil Moon Frye) who was abandoned by her parents in a Chicago Supermarket along with her faithful dog, Brandon. She discovers and moves in a vacant apartment in a local building and quickly became friends with Cherie johnson (Cherie Johnson), a young girl living in that same building with her grandmother Betty Johnson (Susie Garrett).
